Historisches Bild und Foto: das Schiff Seven Seas im Hafen von Bremerhaven, Auswandererschiff im Nordatlantikdienst. Das Schiff wurde als Transportschiff USS Long Island (CVE-1) geplant und fuhr von 1941-1963), Erst als kleiner Flugzeugträger unter anderem bei Pearl Harbor, später um 1949 als „Nelly“ für den Transport von Einwanderern von Bremerhaven nach Melbourne und in die USA und Kanada verwendet; 1953 wurde umgetauft in „Seven Seas“, von 1966-1977 diente es noch als Studenten- und später Arbeiterhotel in Rotterdam; inzwischen wurde es abgewrackt | Historical Image and Photography: Ship Seven Seas former name USS Long Island (CVE-1) (originally AVG-1 and then ACV-1) lead ship of her class and the first escort carrier of the United States Navy, Pearl Harbor, 1953, she was renamed Seven Seas. In 1955, she was chartered to the German Europe-Canada Line.
