Historisches Bild und Foto: Bau, Umbau der Stalinallee im Jahr 1952 nach den Visionen des Sozialistischen Realismus bzw. der Nationalen Bautradition. VEB Industriebau. Errichtung der Arbeiterpalaeste. Die Strasse, boulevard wurde zwischen 1949 und 1961 Stalinallee (Große Frankfurter Straße) genannt und war das Vorzeigeprojekt im Rahmen des Ostdeutschen Wiederaufbauprogamms nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg. Die Stalinallee wurde in mehreren Stufen von den Architekten ermann Henselmann, Hartmann, Hopp, Leucht, Paulick entwickelt. Platziert wurden appartements, cafes und ein Kino (International). Der aktuelle Name: Karl Marx Allee. | Historical Image and Photography: Building the Stalinallee in East Berlin. Workers build up the street and the buildings. The boulevard was named Stalinallee between 1949 and 1961 (previously Große Frankfurter Straße), and was a flagship building project of East Germany's reconstruction programme after World War two. It was designed by the architects Hermann Henselmann, Hartmann, Hopp, Leucht, Paulick and Souradny to contain spacious and luxurious apartments for plain workers, as well as shops, restaurants, cafés, a tourist hotel and an enormous cinema (the International). The name today: Karl Marx Allee.
