Scheldeprijs 2021 Elite Womens Race

Lorena Wiebes vom Team DSM Scheldeprijs 2021

The Scheldeprijs (nl., formerly also: Grote Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs Vlaanderen or Scheldeprijs Schoten, Engl.: Schelde Prize, Grand Schelde Prize, Schelde Prize Flanders, Schelde Prize Schoten) is the oldest one-day race in the world. Named after the river Schelde, the road cycling race was first held in Flanders, Belgium, in 1907. The route runs from Antwerp to Schoten.

In 2021, the Scheldeprijs was also organised for women for the first time. The first winner was the Dutch Lorena Wiebes from Team DSM, ahead of the Danish Emma Norsgaard (Movistar Team Women) and the Italian Elisa Balsamo (Valcar – Travel & Service).
