Strade Bianche is one of the most famous one-day classics for cyclists. Formerly known as the Monte Paschi Eroica, the professional race always takes place in spring in Tuscany, mostly around Siena. Since 2015, the race has also been organised for women. It is part of the UCI Women’s WorldTour.

On 4 March 2023, the ninth edition of the Strade Bianche Women Elite Eolo took place over 136 kilometres from Siena to Siena (Piazza del Campo). Demi VOLLERING of Team Sd Worx from the Netherlands won the race after 3 hours, 50 minutes and 35 seconds. Last year’s winner and team mate Lotte KOPECKY came in second. Third place went to Kristen FAULKNER from Team Jayco AlUla.
