Paris-Roubaix Femmes 2021

DEIGNAN Elizabeth: Paris - Roubaix - Femmes

For the first time, the women’s version of the traditional monument of cycling Paris-Roubaix took place in 2021. The competition for professional women cyclists was supposed to be held for the first time in 2020 as part of the UCI Women’s WorldTour, but was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now it was held on 2 October 2021, the day before the men’s race. The starting point was Denain, the finish, traditionally, as in the men’s race, was the Roubaix racecourse.

The winner over 116.4 kilometres, 30 kilometres of which went over the traditional cobblestones, was Lizzie Deignan from Great Britain, ahead of Marianne Vos from the Netherlands and Elisa Longo Borghini from Italy.
