Highlights of the event and our photos of Six Day Berlin 2024:
At the start of the “Six Day Weekend” in the Berlin Velodrom in front of 5200 spectators, three-time European champions Roger Kluge and Theo Reinhardt showed off their skills by dominating the demanding 120-lap chase and coming out on top of the field. With 70 points, they lead ahead of world champions Yoeri Havik and Jan-Willem van Schip, who scored 68 points, and the surprising duo Hejnen/Moore with 38 points. Other teams, such as the German champions Malcharek/Augenstein, are still within reach.
In the sprinters’ category, Olympic champion Roy van den Berg from the Netherlands is in the lead with 42 points, closely followed by Mateusz Rudyk and local hero Robert Förstemann. Daniel Harnisch won the standing race with his pacemaker Gerd Gessler.
