On the first stage of the Tour de Romandie, Dorian Godon from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale took the win, closely followed by his team-mate Andrea Vendrame, making it a one-two finish. Gianni Vermeersch of Alpecin-Deceuninck secured third place on the podium in a hard-fought sprint. This victory was the result of a 165.7 km race from Château d’Oex to Fribourg, which was characterised by challenging terrain with six climbs.
