Sixdays Bremen 2024 3. Tag Fotos 14.01.2024

Photos and pictures from the third day (14 January 2024) of the 57th Bremen Six-Day Race (Sixdays Bremen), a traditional cycling event that took place this year from 12 January to 15 January.

Highlights of the event and our photos: On the third day of SIXDAYS BREMEN 2024, new records were set in the 500 metre time trial. World champions Havik and van Schip (Team Hermes) set a new record of 26.760 seconds, while Rugovac/Abma (Team Plattner) improved their time from the previous day to 26.880 seconds and finished second. The third-placed team Birkemose/Skivild (Team Nordwest Ticket) also beat the previous record with 26.930 seconds.

There was a lot of excitement in the big hunt. Three-time European champions Kluge/Reinhardt (Team swb) prevailed against Heijnen/Malmberg (Team Halle 7) and Augenstein/Grondin (Team Atlantic Gruppe).

In the overall standings, Havik/van Schip lead ahead of Politt/deVylder (Team Stark Gebäudereinigung), Heijnen/Malmberg and Kluge/Reinhardt, who are all in the clear and within reach of overall victory. This means that Nils Politt still has a chance of successfully defending his title, which was last achieved in Bremen in the 1990s.

Alessa-Catriona Pröpster and Robert Förstemann continued to dominate the sprinters. Pröpster set a new record of 9.320 seconds, while Förstemann’s time of 8.670 seconds fell just short of Tomáš Bábek’s record from 2020.
