In the match between SGS Essen and RB Leipzig, the teams shared the points after a spectacular 4:4 draw. The game in the heart of the Ruhr region was characterised by a dynamic first half in which both teams demonstrated their attacking prowess. Essen seized the initiative early on through Laureta Elmazi and took the lead in the third minute of the game, but RB Leipzig, led by the prolific Mimmi Larsson, equalised to take a 4-2 lead before half-time with a brace from Vanessa Fudalla and a header from Frederike Kempe.
However, the hosts did not let this get them down and started an impressive comeback after the break. Natasha Kowalski scored her brace in the 51st minute after scoring a penalty in the first half and Annalena Rieke equalised in the 59th minute. Despite further chances on both sides, the game remained tied.
